Starting on September 1, 2024, Assembly Bill 2683 will require California Community Colleges to annually train their students on Sexual violence and sexual harassment. The training also must cover additional topics such as “the differing rates at which students experience sexual harassment and sexual assault in the educational setting based on their race, sexual orientation, disability, gender, and gender identity”.
Students are required to complete their annual training within 6 months of the beginning of the academic year.
Frequently Asked Questions
All students who are required to complete the training have been sent an email notifying them of the requirement. You can access the training by logging in to MySite. You can find the training by navigating to: My Information > Matriculation > Title IX Training. You must watch the two videos linked in the training. The training videos will be launched in a separate tab. Once you have completed watching the videos please do not forget to check the box the certifies completion on the MySite Title IX Training tab.

Yes. AB 2683 requires that ALL students receive training annually.
Some students who report this issue find that when they switch web browsers (i.e. Google Chrome) they are able to check the box. If you are still unable to check the box, please email scstudenttechsupport@saddleback.edu.
No. Your registration will not be impacted if you do not complete the training.
Yes. You may complete the training by emailing the Title IX Officer, Jennifer LaBounty at Jlabounty@Saddleback.edu to go over different options that may be available to you.
Currently, the videos are only available in English. However, we are working on alternatives for students who need assistance completing the training in a different language.
