Students who have submitted a Prerequisite Evaluation Request and were denied clearance for their desired target course have the option to appeal the results. To do so, the student must submit the Math Prerequisite Appeal Request with any available evidence.
The following items must be included with an appeal:
- Request Form: Math Prerequisite Appeal Request
- All evidence that will help support the appeal request. This may include a high school transcript, college transcript(s), current grade reports or report cards, and any other supporting documents that demonstrate knowledge of the subject matter.
An Appeals Committee from the Math Department will meet to review the Math Prerequisite Appeal and supporting documents within five business days. If the appeal is approved, the student will be allowed to enroll in the higher level course. If the appeal is denied, the student will not be eligible for the higher level course and will be dropped if prior enrollment was granted.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: All Math Prerequisite Appeals are final using the evidence submitted. If the student completes another math class at a later date, they may submit a new Prerequisite Evaluation Request with this transcript. If the requested prerequisite clearance is denied, the outcome can then be appealed.
