Pride flags

The Office of Equity, Inclusion, Access and the International and Diversity Student Council (IDSC) will be hosting LGBTQIA+ Pride during the month of April. GAYPRIL will be a month-long celebration to honor and embrace our LGBTQIA2+ campus community. Events have been planned with the goal of providing a space where students and staff can learn more about the LGBTQIA2+ community and where members of the community can support and uplift each other through celebratory and inclusive gatherings. All are welcome!

The events planned for GAYPRIL include:

Drag Queen Bingo
Tuesday, April 8 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Courtyard

Get ready to celebrate Pride Month with an exciting event! Join the College of Equity, Inclusion, and Access and IDSC for Drag Queen Bingo. Prepare for an afternoon filled with fabulous entertainment, thrilling bingo games, delicious food, and fantastic prizes!

Pride Dance Party
Thursday, April 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. in College Center 212

Turn up the beat, express yourself, and join us for a night of fabulous music, good vibes, and community spirit!

Activities include:

  • Dancing
  • Friendship Bracelet Making
  • Karaoke
  • Snacks and Soft Drinks

Pride Talent Show
Tuesday, April 29 from 12 to 1 p.m. in BGS 254

Join the College of Equity, Inclusion, and Access and IDSC for a Pride Talent Show! Get ready for an afternoon of incredible performances from our vibrant community! Whether you sing, dance, act, or have a unique talent to share, this is your moment to shine.

 

In addition to the evens planned on campus, the California Community Colleges will be holding their 7th annual LGBTQ+ Summit virtually on Tuesday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This free summit offers an opportunity for students, faculty, classified professionals, administrators and community members to come together to learn, share innovative ideas and develop strategies to improve campus programs and student support services. Through dynamic trainings, inspiring speakers and student testimonials, we’ll explore how to transform our institutions and make lasting structural changes to better serve LGBTQ+ students across CCC
