About This Event

Join us on Tuesday, March 24, at 12 p.m. in SSC 212 for a screening of the Emmy-award-winning documentary "Thug Life in D.C."

"Thug Life in D.C." takes viewers deep into the criminal justice system and explores the urban environment that offers few options, little hope, and limited reasons for its black inhabitants to care. Aundrey Burno, facing a possible life sentence for murder, appears to be a hardened criminal focused on survival and gaining respect on the streets. However, as his case unfolds and his younger brother faces a similar fate, a different side of Burno emerges.

Professor Allison Camelot, a Sociology professor at Saddleback College, will present the screening. Light refreshments will be provided.
