About This Event

Do you have what it takes to protect an egg from a high drop? Join us on Monday, April 14, from 12 to 2 p.m. on the second floor of the College Center for a fun and exciting challenge that will put your creativity and engineering skills to the test!

Art supplies and other activities will be available for those who choose not to participate in the challenge. Food will be provided for the first 200 attendees.

The Challenge: Design a device to keep an egg safe from breaking when dropped from a significant height. You may use only approved materials to see if your creation can survive the fall! This event is open to groups of three or four, so please have one person sign up for your entire group.

Rules:

  • Bring your egg-protection device (or you can build one on-site).
  • Eggs will be provided.
  • No parachutes are allowed unless specified otherwise.
  • The highest surviving drop wins.

Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Most Creative Design
  • Best Engineering (eggs that didn't break)
