The mission of the Saddleback College Emeritus Institute is to promote lifelong learning by providing academically rigorous, mentally stimulating, socially engaging, and health improving courses for older adults throughout South Orange County.

Search tips for Emeritus classes:
- To know if a class meets "In-Person" and/or "Online" check its LOCATION.
- In the Search Bar, type an instructor, facility name, course discipline, etc.
- All Emeritus classes begin with "E" (EART = Emeritus Art, EPHO = Emeritus Photo).

Register In-Person
In-Person Registration will be available for Emeritus students with active MySite accounts, between November 12 and November 15. See all dates, times and locations below.

Register Online
- In the Spring 25 Class Schedule, search for and write down the 5-Digit identifying Ticket Number of each class you wish to enroll in.
- Log in to MySite using your student Email Address & Password.
- For help, see "Create Your Password" in the "Learn" section below.
- On the menu section, select My Classes and then Add/Drop Classes.
- Choose the term you'll be registering for by selecting the Add/Drop Classes button for that term.
- If this is the first time you're attempting to register for classes for the selected term, you'll be asked to verify your personal and contact information. You must answer all questions with a red asterisk.
- If you are not able to move past the Update Information page, you have left a required question(s) blank. Scroll to the top to see which question(s). Answer the remaining questions and click on the Next button to continue.
- Enter the class Ticket Number (5 digits- no letters) into the Ticket Number box for the class you want to enroll in. If the class is full, you'll need to input an APC Code into the APC box.
- IMPORTANT: An APC code can only be provided to you by the teacher of the class and has an expiration date for usage. Please ensure that the APC code is used before the expiration date.
- Click the Add Class button to add the class. Repeat step 6 for any other classes you want to take in the specified semester. If the class is closed or full, you'll receive a message indicating that, as well as the option to add your name to the class waitlist.
- Once all classes have been added, they will be shown in the Pending Changes to your Schedule section. Click on the Next button to continue.
- The Checkout: Choose "No" for any additional fees and then click on the Next button to continue.
- Accept the Refund Policy, regardless of whether you have paid fees or not, and click the Complete Registration button to complete the enrollment process.
- You will be shown the Registration Confirmation page detailing your registration

Canvas for Online Classes
Emeritus Institute classes are held online and in-person on scheduled days and times.
In-person learning is located at various South Orange County locations. Please see the class schedule linked near the top of the page.
Online learning uses an online platform called Canvas. Student will use their student email address and password to log in the program. To learn more, view the CANVAS guide.
