Biography
Born and raised in Southern California, Megan Friess earned her Bachelor's in Literature/Writing with Honors with High Distinction at UC San Diego and holds an MA in English Literature and an MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University. Her research and writing interests are wide-ranging: from memoir and personal narrative writing, to popular culture, to rhetoric and composition, to open educational resources (OER), and more. An avid, life-long reader and writer, Megan enjoys having the opportunity to encourage students to look at writing in a different way than they may have previously.
