Biography
Having been an educator for over 30 years, I hold graduate degrees in both Education and Sociology. In addition to teaching at Saddleback College, I have also taught at Irvine Valley College, Fullerton College, Coastline College, Cal State Fullerton, and Concordia University. I teach or have taught Introduction to Sociology, Social Psychology, Social Problems, Marriage & Family, Socialization of the Child, Ethnic & Minority Relations, and Sex & Gender. Prior to teaching college, I taught the social sciences in high school.
My wife, to whom I have been married for over 25 years, is also a teacher - 4th grade. Our adult daughter is a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and loves working with dogs.
So, the things I most like to do revolve around my wife and daughter – going to the beach, hiking in national forests, spending time with my wife’s side of the family nearby and traveling to the Midwest to visit my side of the family. I also like to read, work out, listen to early Beatles, Beach Boys, and The Monkees! music, study nutrition, and watch old classic movies, particularly film noir.
I am always excited about teaching Sociology, it is a fascinating subject that offers great insight in viewing our world.
