Jamie Bacon is a liaison for the Department of Veterans Affairs and Saddleback College. She is enthusiastic about assisting Veterans and their spouses in identifying their career and employment goals, provide supportive counseling, VA benefit resources, and referral services. She has the ability to help Veterans resolve barriers that may interfere with their academic success while adjusting to civilian culture. Veterans can now access on-campus Vocational and Rehabilitative counseling through the “VetSuccess on Campus” program on Wednesday through Friday in the VETS Center (SSC-207).
Jamie began her education in the California Community College System where she then transferred to San Diego State University. She possesses over 19 years experience with transitioning service members at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Most recently she taught transition workshops for the seriously ill and injured service member’s base wide and within the Wounded Warrior Battalion. She has worked at Palomar College as a DSPS Counselor and taught Adult Education Classes at MiraCosta College.
