Disabled Veterans - Chapter 31
- Veterans who have been evaluated and given a disability rating qualifying them for the Vocational Rehabilitation Program (Chapter 31) must contact the Veterans Administration Regional Office Counseling and Rehabilitation Department at 11000 Wilshire Bl., 344/28, Los Angeles, CA 90024. The VA Counseling and Rehabilitation Department will initiate your paperwork and notify the Saddleback College Veterans Affairs Office.
- After receiving authorization forms (22-1905) from the VA, the Saddleback College Veterans Affairs Office will certify your enrollment so that benefit payments can begin. If these forms are received before you enroll in classes we can defer the enrollment, tuition, material and health fees; otherwise, you will have to pay the fees, which can later be reimbursed after the 22-1905 has been received. Chapter 31 veterans must pay for the parking permit (unless specifically approved on the 22-1905) and ASB card.
- During this process you will fill out other forms given to you in our office.
