Tuition Reimbursement for Child Development Majors

The Child Development Training Consortium is a federal block grant funded program that provides funding to reimburse at least partial tuition costs for Child Development Majors at Saddleback College.

  • This reimbursement does not interfere with or prevent access to other financial aid funds.
  • If you attend other colleges during the same semester, you must submit a separate form to each college.

Step by Step Instructions to Determine Eligibility and Complete Forms

  1. Determine if you are eligible. You must be able to answer “yes” to both of the questions below.
    1. Are you a declared Child Development Major at Saddleback College?
      This is a choice you make as you register for classes each semester. If you can’t remember what you chose or need to change, you must request a change of major in the admissions and records office.

    2. Are you currently working in California with children ages 0-5 for 15 or more hours per week in a licensed or license exempt setting?
      Child Center Staff, Family Childcare, and Before/After School Care only –Nannies are not eligible at this time

    If you answered “yes” to both questions, you are eligible


  2. Complete the CDD Profile Online Survey on the Child Development Training Consortium Website http://cdtc-reg.wested.org/users/sign_in
    • Once on the home page of the CDTC Web Site, go to the Community College Program page.
    • At the top of the page will be instructions on steps to complete and submit the form online, and retrieve a confirmation page to attach to the CDTC Student Profile to give to your campus coordinator.


  3. Complete a Student Profile (this is the application form)

    Directions for completing the Student Profile
    • Under College – List Saddleback
    • Under Return to – list June Millovich
    • Under Due Date – list October 31st for Fall Applications or March 31st for Spring Applications
    • Under Personal Information – EMAIL IS NOT OPTIONAL FOR SADDLEBACK STUDENTS
    • Select Fall or Spring – (we do not have summer or winter funding)
    • Section number – means “Ticket” number
    • Don’t leave any sections blank – Funding will be more competitive this year due to tuition increase. Incomplete forms and forms with writing that is too un-clear to read may not be processed.
    • Original Ink Signatures are required – no faxes, copies, or scans.


  4. Complete Application Cover Sheet
    Cover sheet has the directions for where and how to submit your forms


  5. Submit Forms by Semester Due Dates
    • Fall Every Year: October 31st
    • Spring Every Year: March 31st


  6. Submit Semester Completion Documentation
    • MySite Grade Report
    • Confirmation page from Student Evaluation Survey (make sure your name is hand written on this page, it doesn’t automatically show) Forms must be mailed, hand delivered, or scanned and emailed to June Millovich by

Fall 2012

Forms Due: October 31st

Email confirmation that your forms were received will be sent: November 10th An Email Confirmation with processing status has been sent. If you did not receive an email, Contact June Millovich

Semester Completion Documentation Due: January 15th 2013

Email confirmation that your documentation was received and payment (or no payment) processed will be sent: January 25th 2013. An email confirmation of students who will receive funding has been sent. If you did not receive an email contact June Millovich.


Spring 2013

Forms Due: March 31st

Email confirmation that your forms were received will be sent: April 10th

Semester Completion Documentation Due: June 5th 2013

Email confirmation that your documentation was received and payment (or no payment) processed will be sent: June 15th 2013
