Blackboard
Your instructors are encouraged to establish a blackboard account to post their syllabus, course calendar, assignment descriptions, lecture notes, and discussion boards for each of your classes.
WHAT IS BLACKBOARD?
Blackboard is a web-based course management system designed to allow students and faculty to use online materials and activities to complement both face-to-face and online teaching. Instructors can provide students with course materials, class announcements, discussion boards, online quizzes, an academic resource center, online grades, and more.
Many of our distance education (internet) and face-to-face classes have a blackboard component to the learning process. To access the blackboard system, click here.
As a student, how do I....
| MySite Pin # |
To access your Saddleback college email and Blackboard, you must change your MySite Pin # to a more secure password. This is for your protection. For information on how to change your password, follow these instructions.

| Username |
The username is assigned to you within 72 hours after you enroll in your first class. Your username is your first initial, your last name and then an assigned number (such as jsmith47). |
| Login to Blackboard? |
You can access Blackboard from the Saddleback College homepage by clicking onto: Online Education to Blackboard. Use your Username and Password to log in. |
| Login to college computers? |
Use your Username and Password to log onto any college computer. |
| Access my college email? |
Look for the email link in the header of MySite. You have to change your password the first time you log into your college email. This process will immediately change it for all other services. |
| Change my PIN? |
You can change your current PIN by going into MySite and clicking on the "Change PIN/Password" link in the left navigation menu. |
| Change my Password? |
Once you have a Username and Password, the Password can be changed by going into MySite and clicking on the "Change PIN/Password" link in the left navigation menu. |
