Who Is Required To Matriculate
The process begins when a new or returning student submits an application to the Admissions and Records Office. If a student is designated to matriculate, they cannot register at the college or on-line until the Matriculation process is completed
You're required to matriculate, if you meet one of the conditions listed below. If you do not meet any of the conditions, you may be exempted from the orientation, assessment, and the group advisement portion of the matriculation process. Please call the Matriculation Office (949-582-4970) if you have any questions about your matriculation status.
Enrollment Status
- New - never attended any college
- New - attended college but less than 30 units completed.
Your Educational Goals is one of the following
- Transfer to a 4-year institution without an associate degree
- Obtain an associate degree and transfer to a 4-year institution
- Obtain a 2-year associate degree without transfer
- Obtain a 2-year vocational degree without transfer
- Improve basic skills (math, English, and reading)
- To move from noncredit coursework to credit coursework
- Undecided on goal
Accumulated College Coursework
- Less than 30 units completed
- Have not completed a math and English composition/reading course
