What is the Writing Lab?
The Writing Lab is a place for students to learn about writing concepts, to practice their writing skills, and get help with their writing. The Writing Lab offers two classes: English 301 & English 310

How is the Writing Lab different from the Tutoring Services?
Tutoring Services will help you revise a specific draft you are working on; while English 310 will help you with all stages of the writing process as well as monitor your progress throughout the semester.

Writing Lab Classes:

English 301
English 301 is a required supplemental lab to English 300. The lab focuses on writing structure, grammar, style and any other writing skills a student needs to improve and develop. English 301 requires 16 hours of time in the Writing Center and is a CR/NC course worth 0.5 units.

English 210
English 210 is open to anyone looking for a place to exercise and strengthen writing skills. It is an individualized program that includes writing practice, grammar review, and one-on-one meetings with a faculty member. English 210 requires 24 hours of time in the Writing Center and is a CR/NC course worth 0.5 units.
