Welcome to the Writing Center at Saddleback College
What is the Writing Center?
The Center is a place for students to learn about writing concepts,
to practice their writing skills, and get help with their writing.
The Writing Center offers two classes: English 301 & English 310
How is the Writing Center different from the
Learning Resource Center (LRC) Tutoring?
The LAP will help you revise a specific draft you are working on;
while English 310 will help you with all stages of the writing process
as well as monitor your progress throughout the semester.
Classes We Offer |
English 301
- English 301 is a required supplemental lab to English 300.
The lab focuses on writing structure, grammar, style and
any other writing skills a student needs to improve and
develop. English 301 requires 16 hours of time in the Writing
Center and is a CR/NC course worth 0.5 units.
|
English 210
- English 210 is open to anyone looking for a place to exercise
and strengthen writing skills. It is an individualized program
that includes writing practice, grammar review, and one-on-one
meetings with a faculty member. English 210 requires 24 hours of
time in the Writing Center and is a CR/NC course worth 0.5 units.
