Important Dates
April/May 2009: Financial Aid Office begins processing financial aid files for the 2009-2010 academic year.
July 2009: Financial Aid Office begins mailing preliminary award letters for the 2009-2010 academic year.
July 1, Priority application deadline.
May 2009: 2009-2010 Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver applications are available on the website for the upcoming academic year.
September 2009: Financial Aid Office begins disbursing fall financial aid funds to awarded students.
September 2, 2009: Competitive Cal Grant deadline for 2009 – 2010 award year. If you are a Saddleback College student and have completed the required units at Saddleback College, Saddleback College will electronically transmit your GPA. If you have multiple transcripts that have to be compiled, the Admissions Office will complete this for you. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information regarding the GPA Verification Form.
November 3, 2009: Fall Return to Title IV date for those students who withdraw from all their classes. These students must see a Financial Aid Specialist prior to their withdrawal from all courses – they may have to return funds that have been disbursed.
November 2009: 2010 – 2011 renewal FAFSA applications mailed to continuing students who applies for financial aid in 2009 – 2010, and who have maintained the same home address since the time the FAFSA was originally submitted. ***** NOTE: this is subject to change, as the Department of Education may not mail renewal notices. Students will have to use the online website.
December 13, 2009: Last day for students attending only fall 2009 semester to submit a Loan Request Form to the Financial Aid Office.
January 2, 2010: Online FAFSA for 2010-2011 is ready for student/school use.
January/February 2010: 2010-2011 FAFSA and Cal Grant GPA Verification Forms are available on the web.
February 2010: Financial Aid Office begins disbursing spring financial aid funds to awarded students.
March 2, 2010: Saddleback College Scholarship Application Deadline 2010-2011
