Applied Psychology 140 course is designed to increase a student’s success in college by providing the necessary skills to reach their personal and educational goals. Applied Pscyhology 140 is highly recommended for first semester or returning students who want to acquire the necessary tools to achieve academic success in higher education. Taking this course will facilitate a smoother transition for students planning to transfer to a college/university, as well as learn the requirements to obtain a vocational program and/or associate degree.
Students will take a series of personal inventories and assessments, which will help them discover their values, interests, aptitudes and personal strengths. This will enable students to select a college major, career and develop an individualized student education plan. Taking this course will also introduce and encourage students to utilize the myriad opportunities, services, and programs at Saddleback College.
