New Faculty

The information below refers to campus technology tools and services that are available to you.

Faculty Profiles or Redman icon - Basic bio and information your students can see directly from the schedule of classes. Once you have your Saddleback faculty email account, you can create your faculty profile.

Faculty Websites - All faculty have space on the Saddleback webserver. Create your own or use a template to post your syllabi, helpful links or more info and instructions to your students. (Can be linked from Profile) Email us at sccidde@saddleback.edu for instructions to get started!
Blackboard - Course management system designed to present course content - either in a full online, hybrid or enhanced way. Only students enrolled in the class can see content. Course shells will be created automatically by ticket number.

User Name:	The first part of your email address before the @saddleback.edu.
Password:	Same as the password you use to log on MySite, the default is the last four digits of your social security number plus two digits of zeroes.

Exchange Mail (OWA)- Everyone at Saddleback has an email address. Usually you find your email address through MySite.

MySite - The District Community Portal which gives you all the information about your classes. Download rosters, view statistics, find out enrollment numbers, and more.
Faculty Technology Class Schedule - Throughout the semester, we offer FREE classes to Faculty wanting to learn more about technology.
One-to-One Technology Instruction - Whether you're building a new course online, using technology as an enhancement or just curious about the newest technology available to you, you can always make appointments with us for focused training sessions! Combined we have over 35 years of experience.

ON-CAMPUS Facilities- The CIDDE is equipped with the following:

Faculty computer lab - 20 MAC & PC compatible computers for your use and for technology classes scheduled throughout the semesters.
4 additional MAC/PC workstations outside the lab for use when lab is occupied.
3 scanning stations
1 VHS to DVD conversion station
2 sound booths equipped with multimedia equipment for video creation
1 Interactive Pen Display
