Change Email Send Options to Students in Your Classes

Email Tools Permissions
	Some faculty were surprised to find out that the Student My Institution page has a link to various tools in Blackboard, such as “Send Email.” This feature allows students to send email to classmates or instructors in each of their courses. If you do not want them to send to classmates, you'll want to change their options.
How to Change Options for WHO You Want Your Students Within Your Courses
	1. Go to the course you're teaching > Control Panel > Customization > Tool Availability
	2. Select the dropdown arrow next to Email
	3. Check or uncheck the checkboxes to customize who your students can email in your class
