Volleyball gets win over Santa Ana

It was expected to be a close match and lived up to its billing as Saddleback defeated Santa Ana in an Orange Empire Conference women's volleyball match Friday night, 17-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Men’s basketball enters the season rated No.7 in south

The men’s basketball team had a tremendous run in the state tournament in 2008-09, making it all the way to the finals before falling in overtime to Riverside College and finishing second in the state.  The Gauchos return a handful of players from the runner-up team and enter the season at No. 7 in the coach’s poll.

Golfers finish second in conference

The Saddleback women's golf team placed second out of five teams at the Orange Empire Conference finals held Monday and Wednesday at the El Prado course. The second place finish automatically qualifies the Gauchos for the Southern California Regional championship which is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, November 9-10, at the Los Serranos course.

Gauchos make Pirate turnovers a treat

Saddleback converted four Orange Coast fumbles and two interceptions into five touchdowns as the Gauchos rolled to a 52-14 Halloween evening victory over the Pirates in Costa Mesa.

The women's volleyball team dropped three straight games to Cypress on Friday night, falling 25-22, 25-20, 25-10.

Football falls to Fullerton

Although both teams had pretty prolific offensive numbers heading into Saturday night's game, it was the defensive play of both teams that attracted the most attention and proved to be the key in Fullerton's 22-13 win over Saddleback in a Southern Conference contest.

Soccer falls to Santa Ana

Santa Ana scored an early first-half goal, then added three more goals in an 11-minute span during the second half to blank Saddleback 4-0 in an Orange Empire Conference women's soccer match on Friday.

Help Raise Money for Gaucho Athletics While You Travel

You can help us raise funds that support Saddleback College athletic programs every time you travel. By simply using our on-line reservation and booking service, the built-in commissions which normally go to an internet travel company or a travel agent whom you don't know will now be steered to your favorite sport or support program within the Saddleback athletic department. We use the same (or similar) search engines which run the popular travel sites so you'll be able to make your reservations for basically the same cost as if you'd used one of those other companies.
