Book Loan Program

The Book Loan Program at Saddleback College began in the Spring of 2009. It came to the attention of Counseling, the Associated Student Government, and the Foundation that there were many students on campus that didn't have the resources to purchase their text books yet their need was so recent that they didn't qualify for financial aid. The Associated Student Government donated $5000 in funds to purchase books to place in the reserve section of the library for students to access as an alternative to purchasing the book for their class. The Foundation board matched this contribution making the total funds $10,000 for the Spring semester. The Spring 2009 Booklist can be found below.

We are pleased to inform you that this Fall the Associated Student Government has donated $23,005 to the Book Loan Program for the 2009-2010 Fall and Spring semesters. You can access the book list for this upcoming school year below. $5000 worth of books will be added to the Library in the next two weeks and the updated book list will be posted at that time. The remainder of the funds will purchase books throughout the Fall and in preparation for the Spring semester. Books are currently chosen from a list of the most highly used/ordered books.

Important: Books are available for 2-hour check-out in the Reserve section of the Library.
