Concert Pianist Norman Krieger Master Class

Concert artist and USC piano professor Norman Krieger will present a master class.  Saddleback advanced piano students will perform. A native of Los Angeles, Krieger is one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation, highly regarded as an artist of depth, sensitivity and virtuosic flair. He regularly appears with the major orchestras of North America, among them the New York, Los Angeles, Buffalo, Dayton and Hamilton Philharmonics, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra and the Baltimore, California, Chicago, Cincinnati, Florida, Hartford, Honolulu, Kansas City, Milwaukee, National, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Saint Louis, San Antonio, San Diego and Syracuse Symphony Orchestras.normankrieger.jpg

Khomyakov performs recitals in major concert halls of the United States, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, South Korea, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Holland, Spain, Italy and Sweden, including halls of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, St. Petersburg Conservatory, Seoul Arts Center, Dresden “Semper” Opera Theatre, Zipper Hall and Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, Miller Outdoor Theater in Houston, and many others. He has published recordings on CD, DVD, his performances have been broadcast on radio and television in Germany, Belgium, Russia, South Korea, Canada and the United States.

Winter Winds

Jazz Studies Presents Quarteto Nuevo

Quarteto Nuevo performs at Saddleback College. Cquarteto_nuevo_with_instruments.jpgritically acclaimed virtuoso instrumental ensemble founded in 2001 by master percussionist Christopher Garcia. Each member has a rich background in diverse music making with the instruments and the music of North and South India, western classical, indigenous Mexican, folkloric and jazz music with an ensemble sound unlike any other.

Holiday Jazz Concert

Conducted by Joey Sellers, this special holiday concert starts early so you can bring the kids!  A fun concert that features unique arrangements of Holiday favorites, and it’s a great opportunity to introduce youngsters to this great American music called Jazz. Who we are….

Angels for the Arts at Saddleback is a fundraising and support organization for the Performing and Visual Arts at Saddleback College.  Angel members donate their time and talent to raise funds and assist with a variety of arts events on the campus.  The group is led by a volunteer advisory board of directors.

Why we exist…

Angel members believe in the importance of offering a full spectrum of arts to the community, with the college as the focal point.  These events bring together Orange County residents from all walks of life, for the purpose of enlightenment, entertainment, and inspiration.
