As an educator, director and performer, Daniel Trevino brings his enthusiasm and passion for the performing arts to Saddleback College. For over 25 years, Daniel has been honing his craft as a director and educator. Driven by his pursuit for excellence, he brings to the Saddleback team a unique and valuable combination of teaching, musical, and directing skills. His students have regularly been recognized for their skills, musicality, acting, and professionalism in local and state competitions, college and scholarship auditions, musical theatre and dramatic roles.

Daniel’s diverse background includes performing for two seasons with the Central City Opera, Central City, Colorado; singing with the Pacific Chorale for three years; and Vocal Coach for the Fox Network show “The Great Pretenders”. He was founder and Artistic Director of South Coast Musical Theatre and Irvine Civic Light Opera. Daniel has directed over 50 musicals and 30 plays, many winning awards. He received the Los Angeles Drama Logue award, Best Director 1992, for Pacific Overtures. Favorite musicals he has directed are Sweeney Todd, Nine, Phantom, Side Show, Les Miserables, Urinetown, the Musical, Company, Evita, Pacific Overtures, Miss Saigon, and Singin’ in the Rain.

One of Mr. Trevino's goals has been to make a profound difference in the lives of students while striving to touch their minds and improving their skills. He will be team-teaching Musical Theatre TA10 and vocal directing the Spring Musical, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at Saddleback College.
