Theatre Arts Presents: Hello, Dolly!

Saddleback Civic Light Opera and the Department of Theatre Arts proudly present Hello, Dolly! starring Jonelle Allen as Dolly on July 11th-27th in the beautiful McKinney Theatre on the Saddleback College campus. Jonelle Allen is not only a Saddleback College acting professor but also an established film, television, and musical theatre performer. Directed by Myrona DeLaney with choreography by Roger Castellano and musical direction by Lex Leigh, this enduring Broadway classic is the winner of ten Tony Awards including Best Musical.

“And what do you do for a living, Mrs. Levi?’ asks Ambrose Kemper in the first scene of this most delightful of musical comedies. “Some people paint, some sew… I meddle,” replies Dolly. Hello Dolly is full of memorable songs including: Put on Your Sunday Clothes, Ribbons Down My Back, Before the Parade Passes By, Elegance and Hello, Dolly! And we’re off on a whirlwind race around New York at the turn of the twentieth century as we follow the adventures of America’s most beloved matchmaker.

Dates: July 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26 at 7:30pm and July 13, 20, 27 at 2:30pm.

Health Career Readiness for Entering Freshmen

Special program for students ages 17-19 interested in gaining skills essential to success in health careers and exploring allied health career opportunities. This innovative program, developed through the college's division of health sciences and human services, will meet from July 28th through August 8th at Saddleback College. There also will be exciting "hands on" opportunities to learn about various healthcare careers, including medical assistant, paramedic, emergency medical technician (EMT), phlebotomist, medical lab technician, nursing, and health information technologist. Music Theatre International Presents: Godspell

Bring your whole family and enjoy a carnival atmosphere under the stars on the campus quad on Friday, August 1st at 7:30 p.m. to Saturaday, August 2nd until 7:30 p.m. There will be a fun zone for the kids, food trucks, and an interactive theatre experience with Godspell! The Godspell, according to St. Matthew, is presented in a series of skits and songs, with Jesus and his disciples presented in this musical featuring songs by Stephen Schwartz. Godspell is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International (MTI). Admission is free.
