Workshops: Succeed in an Online or Hybrid Class

If you are new to online classes or are unsure about the online portion of a hybrid class, please join us for one of these free workshops for Summer 2013. The hands-on workshop will help you to log into Blackboard, learn to use Discussion Boards, learn to turn in assignments online, and provide general tips for success in online or hybrid classes.

LRC Tutoring (LRC 212)

LRC Tutoring (LRC 212) offers free tutoring to all Saddleback College students who register for Supervised Tutoring (Tutoring 300). It is our goal to increase scholastic achievement by providing students with supplemental instruction in content area courses, by exposing students to basic study skills techniques, and by promoting the self-esteem and confidence necessary for students to succeed in today’s academic environment.

Our tutoring program provides services to meet the individual needs of each student. These services include drop-in tutoring for Math, Chemistry, Physics, and some English/ESL, appointments in English/ESL and select subject areas, study groups, exam review sessions, and workshops on study skills needs.

Summer 2013 – Hours of Operation for LRC Tutoring

Math/Science Tutoring – June 17 – August 8
Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Study Time (no formal tutoring)
Closed Saturdays, Sundays, and College Holidays.

English/ESL/Other Subjects – June 24 – August 8
Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Study Time (no formal tutoring)
Closed Saturdays, Sundays, and College Holidays.

Summer Library Workshops

Library Workshops are FREE and offered in person or online. There are eight different Library Workshops that teach information competency (a graduation requirement) or a different research skill. Attendance is recorded at each workshop.
