The Dance Department at Saddleback College is proud to present Dance Collective 2013 on April 25th, 26th and 27th at 8 p.m. in the McKinney Theatre. The Dance Department offers a wide variety of styles again this spring with hip hop, jazz, tap, modern, and ballet. Included in the many diverse pieces are: a hip hop number by Kim Baglino Tuason titled Generations incorporating dance through a generation of music; a novel ballet by Dawn Staley, based on a game by Jakub Dvorsky, titled Machinarium which embodies the video game; a high-energy tap dance piece called Lesser of two Evils with choreography by Mychal Gabb and Sophia Valdez; and Overcoming Thin with choreography by Cayla McLaughlin, a solo dance with images of a struggle with anorexia nervosa and bulimia.
